报告摘要:Smart Construction is the integration of advanced technologies, digital tools, and innovative practices in the planning, design, construction, and operation of buildings and infrastructure. It emphasizes efficiency, sustainability, and enhanced collaboration through the use of intelligent systems and data-driven decision-making. The key technologies are included: digital technologies including Building Information Modeling, AI, IoT, automation and robotics, sustainability, data-driven decision making with the advanced project delivery system. The main benefits are following; increased efficiency, cost saving, improved quality, enhanced safety, and environmental responsibilities. The lecture will demonstrate different application of smart construction technologies in the construction industry in the Republic of Korea.

报告人简介: Dr. Yong Han Ahn is a Professor in the Department of Architecture and Architectural Engineering at Hanyang University ERICA in South Korea, where he has been teaching since 2014. He holds a Ph.D. in Construction from Virginia Tech, as well as two Master’s degrees in Community Planning and Building Science from Auburn University, and a Bachelor’s in Building Construction Management from Purdue University. Dr. Ahn's research interests include sustainable construction, green building design, senior housing for the elderly, modular construction, and the application of Building Information Modeling (BIM). Dr. Ahn has published three books and over 100 journal articles. He has received numerous prestigious awards, including the Best Poster Award at the SB13 Seoul Conference and the Best Presentation Award at the Korea Institute of Building Construction Conference. Dr. Ahn is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the U.S. Green Building Council. Additionally, he serves as the editor for the Journal of Building Construction and Planning Research (JBCPR).
